Siel Bleu Ireland 2025 Annual Report: Our Year in Numbers

The Siel Bleu Ireland 2025 Annual Report tells the story of our biggest year yet. Behind every number is a person who showed up, moved a little more, and felt a little stronger because of it. Here is what that looked like.

Reaching 12,000 People Every Week

Each week in 2025, more than 12,000 people took part in a Siel Bleu class. Some joined from their living room, others from a community hall or a nursing home. Either way, that’s 12,000 reasons to get up, get moving, and see familiar faces.

22,800 Sessions Delivered Across 24 Counties

Across the year, our team held 22,800 sessions in total, in people’s homes, community centers, nursing homes, and day care centers. We delivered programmes in 24 counties in Ireland, a 20% increase in participation compared to 2024. As a result, we strengthened and expanded our services in Sligo, Clare, Limerick, Dublin, Kildare, and the Midlands.

Growing to Meet the Growing Need

Ireland’s population aged 65 and older is set to grow significantly by 2040. Because of that, our team is scaling to meet this need. Every session we add means one more person who doesn’t have to face getting older without support.

A Landmark HSE Partnership

In October, we launched an HSE-funded Chronic Disease Management Programme across Dublin and Kildare. Since then, we’ve received over 1,000 referrals and completed over 250 inductions. Demand has continued to grow into 2026 as a result. It’s one of the clearest signs yet that adapted exercise is becoming a genuine part of preventative healthcare in Ireland.

15+ Organisations, One Shared Mission

We deepened our partnerships with more than 15 organisations in 2025. These included Arthritis Ireland, Parkinson’s Ireland, COPD Support Ireland, the Irish Heart Foundation, and Alzheimer’s Ireland.

What the Siel Bleu Ireland 2025 Annual Report Means for the Future

Thomas McCabe, National Manager of Siel Bleu Ireland, reflects on the significance of this progress:

“Behind every programme delivered is a person whose confidence, mobility, independence, and quality of life has improved through movement and social connection.”
