Darren

Waterford
Darren started working with Siel Bleu on the HAPPIER back in 2013. A keen soccer coach for 15 years, Darren holds a Masters in Sports Psychology.
“I love working for Siel Bleu because of the team we have; we are all striving to improve the quality of life for older adults. The various personalities you meet along the way make my job fun and interesting.”

Martina

Dublin West
Tina was the first Siel Bleu Ireland Physical Trainer, delivering the pilot project in 2011. Tina’s personal skills and expertise has made her invaluable to Siel Bleu and to every participant she works with each week.
“Siel Bleu is more about the people and you see the impact you have on their lives. I was suddenly helping people no-one else was helping.”

Max

Max is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (NSCA CSCS) and Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP) with an exercise science degree (BSc Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation & amp; Athletic Therapy. 

Prior to starting with Siel Bleu, Max worked in sports performance coaching. Max’s favourite thing about working with Siel Bleu is helping older adults and people with chronic conditions improve their quality of life through exercise.

Conor

Conor is currently entering his fourth and final year of Sport Science and Health from the Technological University of Dublin. He joined Siel Bleu as he has a keen interest in continuing on into physiotherapy after college. “I really enjoy working with Siel Bleu and I find it extremely rewarding being able to help people achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall health.”

Maggie

Working with Siel Bleu since 2015.
Degree in Sports Exercise and an Honours degree in Sports Management and Coaching.
Based in the Kildare region, working in parts of Wicklow and Laois also.

Maggs

Siel Bleu At Home Coordinator

My favourite part of the job is that with everything that’s going on I love being able to  stay connected online with those that had been doing my classes in person as well and the amazing response of new people taking the time to join us in our classes. Its always been rewarding doing what we do but lately it means so much more I think to both those taking part and for us as trainers!

Thomas

Thomas has been working with Siel Bleu since early 2013, starting as a part time trainer and working to National Manager.
Thomas gets great job satisfaction from improving the lives of Ireland’s older adults.

Cormac

Development Officer
Cormac has an undergraduate degree from LIT in Strength and Conditioning and a Masters degree from UCD in Coaching Science. He’s also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Nutritionist (MNU). He’s been with Siel Bleu since September of 2019 and finds the most satisfying part of the job is seeing people’s physical abilities improve so they can continue to do the things they love. As Development Officer Cormac’s ambition is to spread our service to as many people as possible to help them achieve their goals.

eoin

Prior to joining Siel Bleu Eoin served as a strength and conditioning coach for Connacht GAA, Galway Hurling Academies, European Elite Soccer and the North Atlantic Basketball Academy. Eoin is currently completing his MSc by research in the area of sports science, in which he works with professional ice hockey club, the Belfast Giants in the EIHL. Eoin also serves as a researcher and teaching assistant in the SETU Dept. Health and Sport Sciences. Eoin’s favourite thing about working with Siel Bleu is making a small positive difference in peoples lives through exercise.

Leah

Leah has a BSc in Health and Physical Activity and graduated from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2023. She has qualifications in sports massage, gym instructing, circuit training, and exercise referral. She likes to work for Siel Bleu because she wants to help improve the lives of older adults and help them understand the benefits that exercise can have on maintaining as much independence as possible.

Mark

Mark has a bachelors degree in Athletic & Rehabilitation Therapy from TUS Athlone and he is accredited with his governing body making him a Certified Athletic Therapist. He is also a qualified Emergency First Responder and Cardiac First Responder (EFR & CFR). 
Mark has a keen interest in exercise rehab and making it accessible to everyone. He finds it extremely rewarding working with different populations and helping them achieve their fitness goals and improving their quality of life. 
 

Aoife

Digital Marketing Assistant

Aoife graduated from Bucks County Community College in the United States with a degree in Business. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is now in Dublin, where she is pursuing studies in marketing and communications while working part-time with us.

Jo

Jo has a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy from Portobello Institute. Additionally she has her personal training, pre and post natal certificate and swimming certificate.
Before graduating with her sports therapy degree she worked as a personal trainer, fitness and swimming instructor. 
Jo’s favourite thing is helping people becoming a stronger healthier person of themselves and loves to help people achieve their personal health and fitness goals.

Mia

Mia is currently in her final year of health and physical activity in DKIT. Through this, she has gained qualifications in gym instruction and circuit training. She has always been interested in exercise and wanting to help people, so being able to put the two together is great. She loves working with all the different personalities and being able to build relationships with people.

Darragh

Darragh has completed his 3rd year of Sports Studies in TU Dublin and is hoping to complete his level 8 degree next year. His favourite part about working for Siel Bleu is meeting new people with different backgrounds and life stories, and working with these people to improve their everyday life through exercise.

shannagh

Shannagh graduated from SETU Carlow in 2023 with an Honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science. Since joining Siel Bleu, her favourite thing about the job is meeting people from different walks of life and helping them reach their goals. Before working with Siel Bleu, Shannagh worked with kids and adults with additional needs and has seen first hand the positive effects that moving your body can have on your quality of life.

Dermot

Dermot is a dedicated exercise professional with a background in secondary education. He holds an MSc in Exercise Physiology and its Application in Therapy from the University of Galway and a BSc in Physical Education and Biology from DCU. He is a certified Graduate Exercise Specialist (EQF Level 6), recognized by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) Ireland. He finds being a Physical Trainer with Siel Bleu Ireland stimulating and fulfilling. Dermot particularly enjoys seeing the meaningful changes that increased physical activity and exercise bring about in people’s lives, whether big or small.

 

Kuba

Kuba has a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick. He is a new Physical Trainer based in the Cork area and has a huge interest in health and fitness and sport, mainly soccer and GAA. Kuba has experience in strength and conditioning training while working with the Monaleen GAA teams in Limerick and possesses 3 years of experience in underage coaching for his local soccer club, Bantry Bay Rovers. Kuba loves helping people of all ages becoming the best version of themselves. He is always determined to help various age groups peak physically and mentally with his versatile skills as a trainer.

Kirsten

Kirsten holds a Human Movement Science degree from Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. She is also a qualified swim instructor and fitness instructor. Prior to joining Siel Bleu, Kirsten worked as a fitness and swim instructor. Her favorite aspect of working at Siel Bleu is the opportunity to meet and interact with a diverse range of clients every day! Kirsten finds it incredibly rewarding to assist clients in working hard and achieving their fitness goals.

tara

Tara graduated from Technological University Dublin in 2023 with a Bsc (Hons) in Sport Science and Health. Tara joined Siel Bleu as she has a keen interest in pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy in the future and as a physical trainer, her passion for helping people make small but meaningful changes to their everyday life is a huge part of her role. Tara is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of others through exercise in a fun and encouraging environment! 

Rachel

Rachel began working with Siel Bleu in July 2024. She holds qualifications from the National Certificate in Exercise and Fitness (part of UL), Levels 1 and 2 Personal Training and has recently completed Active Ageing and the Older Adult. Rachel enjoys running and is an experienced marathon runner.
