Matthew is a physical trainer here at Siel Bleu, who graduated from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2019 with a degree in Health and Physical Activity. He is a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer with experience teaching people of all ages and abilities. He has worked in secondary schools teaching Physical Education at Junior Cert level, as well as working in Nursing homes and with the Irish Wheelchair Association while on placement in college. Matthew’s favourite part of the job is seeing people improving their fitness whilst enjoying his classes.

Darren started working with Siel Bleu on the HAPPIER back in 2013. A keen soccer coach for 15 years, Darren holds a Masters in Sports Psychology.

Tina was the first Siel Bleu Ireland Physical Trainer, delivering the pilot project in 2011. Tina’s personal skills and expertise has made her invaluable to Siel Bleu and to every participant she works with each week.

Max is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (NSCA CSCS) and Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP) with an exercise science degree (BSc Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation & amp; Athletic Therapy.
Prior to starting with Siel Bleu, Max worked in sports performance coaching. Max’s favourite thing about working with Siel Bleu is helping older adults and people with chronic conditions improve their quality of life through exercise.
Conor is currently entering his fourth and final year of Sport Science and Health from the Technological University of Dublin. He joined Siel Bleu as he has a keen interest in continuing on into physiotherapy after college. “I really enjoy working with Siel Bleu and I find it extremely rewarding being able to help people achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall health.”

Olive started working with Siel Bleu in early 2017, taking over the administration and office management.

Sarah has graduated from the Michael Smurfit Business School – UCD Dublin with a MSc in Digital Marketing. She has contributed to multiple brands and their growth on social media, branded content creation and strategy. She is also a trained singer and loves to write and travel.

My favourite part of the job is that with everything that’s going on I love being able to stay connected online with those that had been doing my classes in person as well and the amazing response of new people taking the time to join us in our classes. Its always been rewarding doing what we do but lately it means so much more I think to both those taking part and for us as trainers!
Thomas has been working with Siel Bleu since early 2013, starting as a part time trainer and working to National Manager.
Thomas gets great job satisfaction from improving the lives of Ireland’s older adults.
Development Officer
Cormac has an undergraduate degree from LIT in Strength and Conditioning and a Masters degree from UCD in Coaching Science. He’s also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Nutritionist (MNU). He’s been with Siel Bleu since September of 2019 and finds the most satisfying part of the job is seeing people’s physical abilities improve so they can continue to do the things they love. As Development Officer Cormac’s ambition is to spread our service to as many people as possible to help them achieve their goals.
Prior to joining Siel Bleu Eoin served as a strength and conditioning coach for Connacht GAA, Galway Hurling Academies, European Elite Soccer and the North Atlantic Basketball Academy. Eoin is currently completing his MSc by research in the area of sports science, in which he works with professional ice hockey club, the Belfast Giants in the EIHL. Eoin also serves as a researcher and teaching assistant in the SETU Dept. Health and Sport Sciences. Eoin’s favourite thing about working with Siel Bleu is making a small positive difference in peoples lives through exercise.
Carl has an honours degree in Sport Science and Health from Dublin City University with a passion for healthcare and exercise rehabilitation. Since joining Siel Bleu his favourite thing about the job is working with various population groups and witnessing the positive impact we have on their self-confidence, physical ability and overall quality of life. He says seeing these improvement ‘provides a sense of job satisfaction like no other’.
Carl is also currently a volunteer with the Civil Defence and is a qualified Cardiac First Responder (Advanced)
Naoise is a Third year student at SETU Carlow, Studying Strength and conditioning. Her favourite part of working with Siel Bleu is the various different groups we work with and the hands-on experience she is gaining everyday at Siel Bleu
Sinéad is working with Siel Bleu as a part-time trainer in South Dublin/North Wicklow. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and is currently studying Sports Therapy. Sinéad also teaches dance classes and has been dancing for several years.
Aaron is a physical trainer here at Siel Bleu. He is passionate about health and fitness and takes great pride in helping people exercise. He loves his trainer job and truly enjoys helping as many people as possible live healthier life.
Daniel’s favourite part of the job is seeing people improving their fitness whilst enjoying his classes.
Adam has an honours degree in Sports Science & Health from the Technological University of Dublin. He has a keen interest in health and fitness, with experience in strength & conditioning and personal training. He has a strong interest in GAA, playing for his local club. Adam’s favourite part of working at Siel Bleu is how rewarding it is seeing people have fun in their classes, whilst also improving their overall health and wellbeing
Tommy graduated from Dublin City University in 2022 with a degree in Athletic Therapy and Training. Tommy has experience working as an Athletic Therapist with the general population and also in professional sports with League of Ireland club, St. Patrick’s Athletic, and English Premiership Rugby club, Gloucester Rugby. Tommy’s favourite part about working with Siel Bleu is being able to improve the quality of life of those he works with.
Leah has a BSc in Health and Physical Activity and graduated from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2023. She has qualifications in sports massage, gym instructing, circuit training, and exercise referral. She likes to work for Siel Bleu because she wants to help improve the lives of older adults and help them understand the benefits that exercise can have on maintaining as much independence as possible.
Angela has an Honours Degree in Physical Activity and Health Sciences from TUS Athlone. Throughout her degree, she had an interest in exercise prescription and helping educate people on the benefits of exercise for their health. She has worked with a range of people through her career and she believes it is always interesting getting to know people from all walks of life.
Digital Marketing Assistant
Aoife graduated from Bucks County Community College in the United States with a degree in Business. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is now in Dublin, where she is pursuing studies in marketing and communications while working part-time with us.
Aoife is a personal trainer and gym instructor from Cavan. Aoife started out as a secondary school mathematics teacher but retrained as a personal trainer in 2018. Since then, she has worked in gym settings with people of all ages and abilities, including the over 65s fitness group. Aoife qualified as a pre- and postnatal coaching exercise specialist in 2020. Alongside her work with Siel Bleu, Aoife runs her own business, Natal Fitness, providing online and in-person rehabilitation and return to exercise programs and classes for new mums. Aoife loves seeing the positive impact that exercise can have on the various groups of people she works with and she is keen to utilize her skills working with new population groups.
