The Stay Active programme is an upbeat, fun and proactive class for the more active older adults. The majority of the class takes place in a standing position and utilises exercises, which are designed to increase independence and retain participants’ capacity to live active lives.


  • Maintain and develop joint and muscle functionality
  • Improves balance
  • Raises participants’ awareness of their own health


  • Joint mobility and flexibility
  • Reinforcing targeted muscles: Thighs, shoulders
  • Respiration and relaxation
  • Low intensity general endurance (muscular and cardiovascular)
